This page explains what Hay Trade stores and why.
What we store
We store account data such as your name, email address, password hash, account role, verification state, and basic session data needed to keep you signed in.
We store order data such as purchased items, quantities, totals, farm delivery details, order chat messages, and timestamps required to review and fulfill the order.
We store payment-related metadata needed to match payments to orders, such as checkout session identifiers, payment intent references, and payment status details. We do not store full card numbers in this app.
Operational and security logs
To operate and protect the service, Hay Trade may also store technical visit and security information such as IP address, visited route, browser information, referer data, timestamps, and approximate location derived from the request.
These logs are used for admin monitoring, abuse prevention, and general operational awareness.
How we use data
We use stored data to create accounts, process payments, deliver orders, secure the service, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of what was purchased and delivered.
We may also use your email address for essential account messages such as verification links, password recovery links, and order-related updates.
Who receives data
Payment processing is handled through Stripe, and transactional email delivery may be handled through Resend when configured. Those services receive only the information needed to perform their specific role.
Retention
Data may be retained for as long as needed to operate the store, keep order records, investigate payment issues, or protect the service from abuse.
Public profile and support
Hay Trade does not publish your account details publicly. Order-related communication stays inside the account/order system used for delivery and support coordination.
